BIOGRAPHY

Teagan Quitoriano, born on March 15, 2000, is an accomplished American professional football player, recognized for playing the tight end position for the Houston Texans in the National Football League (NFL). His journey from a young boy to a professional NFL player and overcoming injuries presents an inspiring story of determination and resilience.

Raised in the United States, Quitoriano first honed his football playing abilities in college, specifically at Oregon State. He dedicated himself to the sport extensively from 2018 until 2021, polishing his skills and understanding the game profoundly. Quitoriano’s commitment and hard work didn’t go unnoticed; shortly after his last year at Oregon State, Quitoriano was picked in the fifth round, becoming the 170th overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft, joining the ranks of the Houston Texans.

However, football is notorious for causing injuries, and Quitoriano was not immune. Shortly after his drafting, he was placed on injured reserve on September 1, 2022. A turn in his nascent professional career came when he was activated hours before the team’s Week 8 Thursday Night Football game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Eponymously, he managed to catch a two-yard touchdown pass, marking his first-ever NFL reception.

Quitoriano’s mature performance continued as, in Week 18, he competed against the Indianapolis Colts. He gave an outstanding performance by catching three passes for 83 yards, contributing significantly to his team’s nail-biting 32-31 victory. By the end of his rookie season, Quitoriano showcased enormous potential, as he amassed seven receptions, 113 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns in just nine games, managing to earn the starting position in six of them.

However, Quitoriano had to face another hurdle in his career. On October 31, 2023, he was once again placed on injured reserve. Things took a further damaging hit when on September 4, 2024, he was waived by the Texans due to an injury settlement.

Despite facing setbacks, Quitoriano persevered. His never-give-up attitude prevailed, as on September 24, 2024, he signed with the Chicago Bears practice squad, providing him a chance to rebuild his standing in the sport. In less than a month, his talent compelled the Houston Texans to re-sign him off the Bears practice squad on October 9, 2024.

In conclusion, Teagan Quitoriano’s short biography is a testament to resilience. Even though he faced numerous challenges and setbacks from injury, he persisted, making a name for himself in American football as a formidable tight end player. Regardless of the ups and downs of his career so far, his journey remains ongoing and he continues to strive for excellence both on and off the field.
