Brevin Jordan

Born on July 16, 2000, in Las Vegas, Brevin Jordan would become renowned in American professional football as an accomplished tight end. Today, he plies his trade for the Houston Texans, a well-established franchise in the National Football League (NFL). His meteoric rise to NFL stardom began at Miami (FL).

Brevin’s early life was centered in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he spent his high school days at Bishop Gorman High School in Summerlin. Throughout those years, the budding sportsman’s growing talent was ever apparent as he amassed over 1,700 yards, 100 receptions, and an impressive record of 29 total touchdowns. The sports fraternity began recognizing his potential and marked him as one for the future.

In 2017, upon successful graduation from high school, Brevin made a career-defining decision. He committed to the University of Miami to exhibit his prowess and passion for football at the collegiate level. Joining the Miami Hurricanes, he embarked on a new journey, hoping it would pave the way to his professional career.

Brevin quickly exceeded expectations as a true freshman in 2018. He played a substantial role in 12 games – starting 11 of them. His performance in this freshman year was commendable, with 32 receptions for 287 yards, and four touchdowns. Rising through the ranks quickly, he retained the position of the starter for the Miami Hurricanes in 2019 and 2020. By the end of his three-year tenure at Miami, he had made a name for himself with exceptional stats: 105 receptions, 1,358 receiving yards, and 13 touchdown receptions in 31 games.

Brevin’s outstanding performance saw him getting selected by the Houston Texans in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL draft, as the 147th pick. On May 12, 2021, he officially signed with the Texans and began his much-anticipated professional career. Despite the pressure, he held his nerve to score a nine-yard receiving touchdown in his NFL debut against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8. Unfortunately, his team couldn’t clinch a victory that day, as they suffered a 38–22 defeat.

Undeterred by the team’s loss, Brevin rose to the occasion in his rookie season, making nine appearances and two starts. He posted impressive stats of 20 receptions for 178 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns.

In the 2022 season, Brevin appeared in 11 games, starting three. He finished with 14 receptions for 128 yards. The 2023 season brought about a career high of 219 yards and two touchdowns, all while starting six games and appearing in 14. Against the Cleveland Browns in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, Brevin made a crucial 76-yard touchdown – the longest reception of his career, securing the Texans a massive 45-14 victory.

The promising athlete suffered a significant setback at the beginning of the 2024 season. A torn ACL in Week 2 led him to be placed on a season-ending injured reserve, marking a temporary halt in his professional endeavors.

Brevin attributes his hunger for football to his father, Darrell Jordan, a former college football player for the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks. Darrell was the ninth round selection of the 1990 NFL draft by the Atlanta Falcons. However, a brutal rotator cuff injury in the preseason put an early end to Darrell’s NFL dreams. With his father as an inspiration, Brevin journeys ahead, eager to overcome obstacles and make a name for himself in the NFL.
