Austin Deculus Bio
Austin Deculus is an American football offensive tackle from Mamou, Louisiana. He attended Cy-Fair High School in Cypress, Texas, before playing college football at LSU. Listed at 6-foot-5, Deculus was a durable right tackle who became one of the most experienced offensive linemen in LSU history. He was part of the Tigers’ 2019 national championship team and graduated from LSU after the 2021 season.
The Houston Texans selected Deculus in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft with the 205th overall pick. He later spent time with the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints before joining the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers gave him an opportunity to contribute at tackle during the 2025 season, following earlier NFL experience primarily as a reserve offensive lineman.
The Tennessee Titans signed Deculus as a free agent on March 19, 2026, describing him as offensive-line depth and listing him in competition for a swing-tackle role during training camp. Tennessee terminated his vested-veteran contract on August 31, 2026. As of September 16, 2026, the cited Titans transaction record does not establish that he is currently under contract with an NFL team. His scouting profile emphasizes length, active hands and experience, while noting that movement blocks and defending speed rushers were developmental challenges.
