Christian Harris Bio
Christian Harris is an accomplished professional American Football player, famed for his exceptional skill as a linebacker for the renowned Houston Texans, a prominent team under the National Football League (NFL). Born on January 16, 2001, Harris has marked his place in the world of professional football, showcasing his talent from a young age and excelling in his NFL career ever since he got selected by the Texans in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft.
Harris’s early life revolved around Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he attended the esteemed Louisiana State University Laboratory School. His love for football was revealed quite early as he played a dynamic role in his high school football team. Harris displayed exceptional flexibility by taking up multiple positions in the team— from being a swift running back, an efficient wide receiver, to a formidable tight end and a quick cornerback.
In 2019, during the All-American Bowl, Harris demonstrated his talent and versatility as he astoundingly converted to a linebacker. Unsurprisingly, his performance brought him to the forefront as a 4-star linebacker recruit. Harris had initially committed to shaping his football career at Texas A&M University. However, he changed his commitment and chose the University of Alabama for its phenomenal football program.
Stepping foot in Alabama as a freshman in 2019, Harris transitioned to be a linebacker, a position he hadn’t played in high school football. His determination and skill did not fail to shine through as he opened the season as a starter. Despite it being his first season, Harris was chosen as a starter in 12 of 13 games and boasted an impressive record of 63 tackles. His commitment to the team and the sport was rightfully recognized as he was named ‘freshman All-Southeastern Conference’.
In the follow-up season, Harris successfully held onto his starter position in his sophomore year in 2020, displaying remarkable consistency and growth as a linebacker. His successful college football career did not end there as, on January 17, 2022, he made the significant decision to enter the 2022 NFL draft.
Harris was selected in the third round, being the 75th overall pick by the Houston Texans. He proved to be a valuable addition to the team in the 2022 NFL draft, and the Texans couldn’t have been more satisfied with their choice. Unfortunately, Harris faced a setback as he was placed on injured reserve on September 1, 2022. However, showing perseverance, he bounced back to active status by October 22 of the same year, demonstrating a commendable spirit.
Two years later, on August 27, 2024, Harris was yet again placed on injured reserve. Despite this, he has consistently shown formidable resilience throughout his career, making Christian Harris a name synonymous with dedication, skill, and versatility in the realm of American professional football.
