Jawhar Kenyatta Jordan Jr., born on August 18, 1999, is a professional American football running back recognized for his impactful performance on the field – a Spartan at heart who engendered a spirited fight in every match he participated.

Jordan Jr. spent his formative years on Long Island, New York, where he discovered his fascination for football and honed his skills while attending Hamilton High School. His high school football career was nothing short of impressive, with him rushing for 3,501 yards and making 48 touchdowns across 450 carries. He also showed promise as a receiver, bringing in 39 passes for 426 yards and five touchdowns.

Post his sterling high school football career, Jordan Jr. was confronted with the significant decision of selecting a college. He was wooed by institutions such as Arizona, Iowa State, Kansas, Missouri, and Rutgers. However, Jordan decided to further his football ambitions at Syracuse University – an integral choice that honed his prowess in the sport.

By the 11th week of the 2019 season, Jordan Jr. made his indomitable presence felt on the field. The triumphant match against Duke saw him rushing for his first career touchdown. His performance for the rest of the entire 2019 season remained equally noteworthy. He completed the year with 105 yards and a touchdown across 15 carries, two receptions for 87 yards, and the notable accomplishment of returning four kickoffs for 114 yards.

The subsequent season in 2020 saw Jordan Jr. demonstrate his tenacity on the field by covering 72 yards from 29 carries while making five successful passes amounting to 34 yards. As the curtain was drawn on the 2020 season, one crucial decision marked the turning point of his student-athlete career – his decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Driven by exceptional athletic potential, Jordan Jr. made a strategic transition to the University of Louisville. His spectacular return of a 100-yard kickoff for a touchdown in the 2021 First Responder Bowl left spectators in awe. Although Louisville tripped against Air Force, Jordan Jr. finished the 2021 season on a high note, covering 94 yards across 14 carries and returning five kicks for 183 yards.

The undeniable competitiveness of Jordan Jr. shone through in the 2022 season. In week twelve, he played an instrumental role in the victory against NC State, rushing 16 times for 105 yards and executing a 98-yard touchdown return. The highlight of the season was his performance in the 2022 Fenway Bowl. He helped Louisville secure a victory against Cincinnati 24-7 by rushing for 115 yards and scoring two touchdowns. This match-winning contribution won him the title of ‘Bowl’s Offensive MVP’. By the end of the season, he tallied an impressive 815 yards and four touchdowns on 142 carries.

The 2023 season unveiled more milestones for Jordan Jr. In week four, he led Louisville to a 56–28 triumph over Boston College, rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns. The sixth week was a memorable one as Louisville emerged victorious against Notre Dame.

One of the most significant breakthroughs came for Jordan Jr. in 2024, when he was drafted by the Houston Texans in the sixth round of the NFL Draft. Being picked 205th overall stood as testimony to his abilities cultivated through years of unwavering commitment and stellar performances.

Even though he was waived from the team in August 2024, Jawhar Kenyatta Jordan Jr. continues to be a free agent, keeping alive the anticipation of where this gifted professional footballer might bring his talents next.
