BIOGRAPHY

Kevin Pierre-Louis, a talented American football player, was born on October 7, 1991. Throughout his decade-long career, he has consistently showcased his abilities as a top-tier linebacker for various teams in the National Football League (NFL). While currently a free agent, he has spent time playing for the Seattle Seahawks, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, Chicago Bears, Washington Football Team, and Houston Texans.

Pierre-Louis’s passion for football was evident from an early age, which he cultivated at King Low Heywood Thomas school in Stamford, Connecticut. This private, co-educational day school was where he played as a middle linebacker and fullback, demonstrating his versatility. In 2009, Pierre-Louis’s prowess on the field was unmistakable, with 159 tackles in just nine games. Additionally, he added three interceptions, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries to his record, scoring two touchdowns along the way. On the offensive side, he rushed for 914 yards, resulting in 13 touchdowns from 77 carries. His impressive performance earned him the title of the 2009-10 Gatorade Football Player of the Year for the state of Connecticut.

Recognized as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, Pierre-Louis was the 10th best outside linebacker prospect of his year and accepted an offer to attend Boston College, choosing it over Duke, Stanford, and Virginia. At Boston College from 2010-2013, he played for the Eagles’ football team and immediately made an impact as a true freshman. He started all 13 games and finished with 93 tackles, second-highest on the team.

In 2011, despite getting sidelined due to an injury in the last three games, Pierre-Louis recorded 74 tackles that season, placing him yet again second on his team roster. His college career highlights include a 96-yard fumble return for a touchdown against UMass and setting new career highs in tackles (108), tackles for loss (10.5), and sacks (six) during his senior year in 2013.

Following his remarkable college career, Pierre-Louis was picked by the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. His NFL journey started with an overtime win against the Denver Broncos on September 21, 2015. Despite an injury that ended his season prematurely, he still managed to record ten tackles in seven games.

His next stop was Kansas City, where he was traded to the Chiefs on July 28, 2017. This was followed by a signing with the New York Jets on March 17, 2018, and later, a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears in 2019. His time with the Bears was marked by his first career interception during a game against the Minnesota Vikings.

He joined the Washington Football Team in 2020, who would later undergo a name change during the same season. Pierre-Louis then signed a two-year contract with the Houston Texans on March 16, 2021, worth up to $8 million. His time with the Texans was not without injury, however, as he was placed on injured reserved due to a hamstring injury. He was then waived by the Texans and later became part of their practice squad in 2022.

Despite his demanding career, Pierre-Louis hasn’t forgotten his roots. Of Haitian descent, his father hails from Léogâne, and his mother’s family resides in Port-au-Prince. These familial connections are maintained as his family runs sugarcane plantations, ice factories, and property rentals in the Caribbean nation.

Today, Kevin Pierre-Louis continues to embody the sheer dedication, hard work, and unyielding passion that has characterized his lifelong dedication to American football. His record reflects consistent performance and resilience in the face of adversity, consistently proving his worth as a valuable player on the football field.
