BIOGRAPHY

Max Holloway is a professional mixed martial artist from Waianae, Hawaii. He currently fights in the Featherweight division for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). At just 28 years old, Holloway has already cemented himself as one of the greatest featherweight fighters of all time.

Holloway began training in martial arts at the age of 17, after being inspired by UFC legend BJ Penn. He trained with local MMA coach Mike “The Hawaiian Punch” Kaleiopu and quickly established himself as an up–and–coming talent. In 2011, at the age of 19, Holloway made his professional MMA debut, winning a unanimous decision over Ryan Hollett.

From there, Holloway continued to impress, winning 5 of his next 6 fights. In 2012, he was offered a contract by the UFC, and made his debut at UFC 150 against Justin Lawrence. Holloway won the fight by TKO in the second round.

Holloway continued to win and soon established himself as a top–ranked contender in the featherweight division. In 2016, he captured the interim featherweight title by knocking out Anthony Pettis in the third round. He was then promoted to the undisputed featherweight champion after defeating Jose Aldo.
