Frankie Edgar is one of the most accomplished mixed martial artists in the UFC today. Born and raised in New Jersey, Frankie began his combat sports career at a young age by competing in wrestling tournaments across North America. As he grew older, he decided to pursue a full-time career as a professional MMA fighter, training with some of the top organizations in the world including American Top Team and Renzo Gracie’s academy.

Over the course of his fighting career, Frankie has earned many accolades and titles including becoming a two-time UFC lightweight champion and The Ultimate Fighter 5 winner. Throughout his tenure with UFC, Frankie has fought some of the greatest fighters in history such as BJ Penn, Gray Maynard, Jose Aldo and Max Holloway. His courageous fights have made him an international star amongst fans who appreciate his never give up attitude inside the octagon.

When outside of it however, Frankie is just like any other person; spending time with family or hitting up local restaurants for good food! He also owns multiple businesses that bring joy to people’s lives through health related activities such as yoga classes or personal training services which reflect his own philosophy on staying healthy while still having fun at life!

Frankie’s passion for MMA runs deep; after losing two title bouts against Benson Henderson early on during 2012/2013 season (among others), he made sure to come back stronger each time proving that nothing can stop him from achieving greatness! In 2016 at TUF 22 finale event where team Conor McGregor proved victorious over team Urijah Faber , it was Edgar who won Fight Of The Night honors by defeating Chad Mendes via unanimous decision (which was also voted “Fight Of The Year”).

Recently named #7 pound-for-pound best fighter on ESPN list for 2020 , Frankie hopes to add more victories under his belt before retiring from active competition . Ultimately though no matter where life takes him next – whether it be inside or outside of cage – you know that Frankie will always be putting forth 100% effort into everything he does !
