BIOGRAPHY

Roman Dolidze is a professional mixed martial artist and current UFC Light Heavyweight competitor. Born in the nation of Georgia, he began training in judo at a very young age and was successful enough to compete for the national team at various international tournaments such as Junior World Championships and European championships. After transitioning from judo to MMA, Roman won his first three fights before signing with UFC where he made his debut in 2018.

Since joining UFC, Roman has gone on to win four out of five fights which included one Performance of Night bonus. He has become well known for his aggressive style both standing up as well as on the ground along with an impressive array of boxing techniques, grappling submissions and Muay Thai kicks all topped off by his extremely powerful punching power. This diverse set of skills has earned him victories against opponents like John Allan Arte, Alexander Yakovlev and Khadis Ibragimov among others since joining the promotion.

Outside of fighting, Roman is also highly educated having studied law while simultaneously continuing to train full time during this period. His degree was completed shortly after making it into the UFC ranks but unfortunately due to language barriers coupled with other restrictions wasn’t able to put it into practice right away. Despite this setback however he continues to work hard towards opening up opportunities outside of MMA later down the road once retirement hits him eventually or if any injuries or misfortunes should come between now and then that would force him out early from competing professionally .

Roman’s unique combination of education alongside physicality makes him stand out among many other fighters who have had success within promotions like UFC yet still find themselves unable to look beyond their careers inside its cage walls when it comes time for life after competition ends . With clear goals set ahead , strong will , determination & dedication towards achieving them , we can expect great things further down the line from Dolidze regardless what happens inside cage itself .
