BIOGRAPHY

Anthony Hernandez is an American mixed martial artist who has been competing in the UFC since 2018. He is currently signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship and fights out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Hernandez grew up in Los Angeles, California and started training in martial arts at a young age due to his mother’s encouragement. He initially trained in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under the tutelage of black belt Marcos DaMata before making his transition into MMA competition in 2012. His professional career began with a three-fight win streak on the regional circuit, which prompted him to join Invicta FC for five fights between 2013 and 2015. During this time he earned a victory over fellow UFC fighter Matt Schnell as well as two additional victories over current Bellator fighters Alesha Zappitella and Karina Rodriguez.

In 2016, Hernandez moved back to California where he joined Kings MMA under Rafael Cordeiro’s guidance until signing with LFA (Legacy Fighting Alliance) late that year after another win streak on the regional scene. After going 4-1 during his run with LFA from 2016-2018 , Anthony was awarded a contract by The Ultimate Fighting Championship where he made his debut against Kevin Holland at UFC 227 on August 4th 2018 . Following this bout “Fluffy” continued fighting for the promotion most recently picking up a TKO victory against Markus Perez at UFC Fight Island 5: Hall vs Silva on October 10th 2020 .

At only 24 years old Anthony already holds notable wins over top middleweight prospects such as Kevin Holland , Markus Perez , Elias Urbina & Andrew Sanchez proving himself one of next generation most promising prospects inside the octagon . With 7 wins within 2 years since joining UFC it is safe to say Hernandez will be taking part of some big matchups sooner rather than later if current trend continues .

Outside of competing within The Octagon Hernandez also resides in Nashville Tennessee alongside wife Jessica De La Cruz whom share two sons together ; Mark & Avi Martinez In spare time away from training camp “ Fluffy” can often be found producing music or working towards completing Bachelor Degree while being involved heavily within community work programs & charity organizations such as Fight For Children dedicated towards helping individuals facing economic hardships aiding them attain resources necessary achieve success while balancing their creativity endeavors utilizing education through Artistic Expression Fostering Confidence Within Community Programs which have benefited local schools across Middle Tennessee area greatly amongst many other projects throughout year collaborated by Anthony himself
