Anthony Hernandez Bio

Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez is an American UFC middleweight from Oakland, California. As of September 13, 2026, the UFC lists him as an active athlete who trains with Team Fluffy. He is listed at 6 feet tall with a 75-inch reach, and his UFC profile identifies him as a striker, though his body of work also features a strong submission game. Hernandez says he began training at 15 after his father encouraged him and his friends to train at a gym rather than fight at home.

Hernandez earned a UFC opportunity through Dana White’s Contender Series in June 2018 and made his Octagon debut on February 2, 2019. Before reaching the promotion, he held the LFA middleweight championship. His recent UFC run has included high-profile middleweight bouts, including a 2025 submission of Roman Dolidze and main events against Sean Strickland in February 2026 and Gregory Rodrigues in August 2026. Rodrigues won their five-round Sacramento headliner by unanimous decision. Hernandez’s style is built around sustained pressure, damaging exchanges and opportunistic grappling, with the guillotine among his preferred submissions.
