John Allan is an MMA fighter currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was born on August 10, 1991 in Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil. He has a bachelor’s degree in physical education and is also a certified personal trainer.
John began his martial arts training at the age of 15 under Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Roberto Ribeiro and kickboxing instructor Sidney Teixeira de Souza. After just two years of intensive training he earned his black belt in BJJ from Ribeiro who soon afterwards encouraged him to compete professionally.
In 2010 John joined the professional ranks with his first MMA fight for Shooto Brazil where he won by submission via rear naked choke in round one. His success had convinced him to move to Rio de Janeiro that same year and start training at Nova Uniao academy under coach Andre Pederneiras who would prove instrumental for John’s development into a top contender as well as helping build up Team Nogueira which included fighters such as Renan Barão, Jussier Formiga, Bruna Ellen and Bruno Korea among others.
After several victories including two finishes over UFC veterans Felipe Sertanejo and Rodrigo Praia , John made it clear he belonged amongst the world’s best when he defeated UFC veteran Issei Tamura at Shooto Brasil 58 winning via TKO (punches) after only 36 seconds of round one thus being crowned champion of Shooto Brasil Lightweight Grand Prix 2013/2014 .
This win caught the attention of UFC matchmaker Joe Silva who contacted John offering him a multi-fight contract with “the organization” . At this time however , due to his commitments to shooto brasil promotion john wasn’t available so they decided once again their paths crossed 3 years later when allen fought for another brazilian mma promotion Jungle Fight on may 13th 2017 where he defeated Fabio Mello via unanimous decision marking his 12th consecutive victory . This proved enough for Joe Silva who offered john an immediate spot in ufc roster fighting welterweight title contender Kamaru Usman during ufc fight night san antonio on july 21st 2017 . After 5 rounds filled with heart pounding action Usman emerged victorious by split decision but this didn’t stop fans from noticing how tough john held up against arguably one most dominant hype trains around today .. Since then Allens been bouncing between wins ans losses while continuing to show why hes considered one toughest welterweights around.. Thus far Allen Has competed five times inside Octagon amassing 8-3 record overall including wins over Tim Means , Niko Price & Warlley Alves while losing against Vicente Luque , Ramazan Emeev And Li Jingliang .. That said we can surely say these 8 fights were just beginning since there are still many more chapters left be writtenAllens story book ….
