BIOGRAPHY

Angela Hill is an American mixed martial artist currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She is a two-time Muay Thai world champion and holds black belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo and Taekwondo. Born on October 3, 1986 in San Diego, California, Hill began her martial arts career at the age of 19. After four years training at various gyms throughout San Diego she found her niche with Evolve MMA in Las Vegas where she made her professional debut against Brittany Dugas for Tuff-N-Uff Fight Promotions.

Her professional MMA career took off from there as she won six fights by either knockout or submission before joining Invicta Fighting Championships in 2014 where she captured the strawweight title with a split decision win over Kaline Medeiros. During her time with Invicta FC Angela not only became a fan favorite but also earned herself three “Fight of The Night” bonuse awards.

In 2015 after capturing the Invicta championship belt Angela was signed to fight for UFC and has since fought numerous times with rather successful results becoming one of UFC’s top contenders at 115 pounds ever since making her octagon debut on July 11th 2015 against Tecia Torres which ended as a majority draw despite being awarded “Fight Of The Night” honors due to their thrilling back and forth exchanges.

Since then Hill has become one of the most active fighters under contract for UFC having competed nine times between 2016 – 2018 . Some highlights include winning both ‘Performance Of The Night’ awards against Ashley Yoder via unanimous Judges Decision on February 18th 2017 as well as recently earning another split decision victory over Maryna Moroz back August 4th 2018 during UFC’s visit to Calgary Alberta Canada . Her most recent performance saw Angela get knocked down by Jessica Andrade early but impressively bouncing back for an entertaining war that eventually resulted in Andrade winning via TKO late into round three which earned them both “Fight Of The Night” bonus award once again cementing Hills place among some of MMA’s strongest women athletes

Outside of fighting Angela spends much time mentoring young female athletes around North America while actively encouraging female participation within combat sports such as Boxing , Kickboxing & Mixed Martial Arts . As far achievements are concerned 2019 looks like it will be another strong year inside & out side the cage for 38 year old Angie who continues striving towards larger goals personally , professionally & competitively within mixed martial arts all while remaining humble & driven towards achieving excellence
