Virna Jandiroba is a Brazilian Mixed Martial Artist who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Strawweight Division. She is currently one of the top-ranked women’s strawweight fighters and has earned her place on the UFC roster by displaying tenacious skill and determination.

Jandiroba, who was born in Brazil’s coastal city of Niteroi, began training jiu-jitsu at age 19 and soon found success as part of her local club team. After dominating numerous regional tournaments throughout Brazil, she made her professional debut in 2015 while competing for Pancrase. Over the next few years, Jandiroba would go on to win six out of seven fights with five submissions all coming via armbar or rear-naked choke.

In June 2018 Jandiroba signed a deal with Invicta FC where she would make four successful title defenses before signing on with UFC in April 2019. She made her promotional debut at UFC 237 where she faced off against fellow promotional newcomer and former Invicta champion Livia Renata Souza—winning by unanimous decision after three rounds.

Since then, Jandiroba has gone 2–0 inside the octagon including an impressive split decision victory over veteran fighter Mallory Martin at UFC Fight Night: Hermansson vs Vettori which gave her back-to-back victories for the first time since joining UFC ranks. In that fight she also earned accolades from commentary staff naming it “Fight of The Night” due to its highly competitive nature—marking yet another milestone achievement in what is already turning out to be a successful career so far for Virna Jandiroba as both an athlete and role model within mixed martial arts community worldwide!

Outside of MMA competition, Virna enjoys travelling around South America visiting different countries discovering their culture – being able to take inspiration from other cultures helps her maintain focus when it comes down crunchtime during training camps or bouts themselves! Additionally – when not fighting or travelling – you can find Virna taught classes teaching jiu-jitsu fundamentals helping upcoming talent learn how to apply their knowledge within MMA combat scenarios; this further emphasizes just how dedicatedshe truly is towards growing sport itself!
