BIOGRAPHY

Kanako Murata is one of the most promising UFC fighters in Japan. She has been competing professionally since 2011 and has quickly become a fan favorite due to her relentless and dynamic style of fighting.

Murata was born in Saitama, Japan on April 4th, 1990. Growing up, Murata had an affinity for martial arts as she began training Judo at age 8 under her grandfather’s tutelage. This rigorous training regime allowed her to develop a skilled technique that would prove invaluable in the future when transitioning into MMA competition. After finishing high school Murata decided to pursue a career in MMA after seeing success early on with multiple tournament wins throughout the region of Kanto, which is considered the birthplace of MMA in Japan.

In 2012 Murata took part in an ALL female Shootboxing tournament where she was crowned champion after defeating Yuuki Fujino via unanimous decision during the finals bout; this victory allowed her entry into Deep Jewels FC where she went undefeated through 3 fights before transitioning over to Invicta Fighting Championships (IFC) where she became their first ever Japanese fighter while also securing their Atomweight title against Jinh Yu Frey via split decision win during their 2017 fight card; this victory made history as it marked IFC’s first-ever championship bout featuring two Asian competitors from different countries on opposing ends of each other.

At 17-1-0, Kanako Murata currently holds numerous records such as: being only one of four women that have won both IFC and DEEP titles; along with being listed #3 amongst all atomweight fighters according to “Tapology” rankings system; these feats earned her well deserved recognition by many notable outlets including ESPN magazine who featured an article about her accomplishments back when they debuted their international edition earlier this year titled “Japan’s First Lady Of MMA: Kanako Murata.” In addition to reaching new heights within professional sports organizations like UFC ,Murata also serves as an ambassador for healthier lifestyles among young adults across Asia by regularly engaging with fans through social media outlets like Instagram & YouTube channels whilst providing inspiring words aimed towards helping others reach similar levels achievement within any field they choose whether it be athletics or academics alike – proving not only is hard work rewarded but can open doors which seemed unaccessible previously!
