Felice Herrig is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s flyweight division. She began her career as a professional fighter with Bellator MMA before joining the UFC in 2014. Herring is one of the most popular female fighters in the sport and she has become known for her aggressive style, taking on opponents from all different backgrounds.
Herrig was born on August 11, 1984, in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Growing up, she was very active and enjoyed playing multiple sports including martial arts and competitive dancing. After graduating high school she attended Northern Illinois University where she earned a degree in fashion design studies while also continuing to train and compete as an amateur fighter.
In 2010 Felice made her official debut as a professional mixed martial artist when she signed with Bellator MMA after competing successfully as an amateur for five years prior to that point. During this period of time Herrig won two regional titles at 115 lbs which immediately caught the attention of promoters within the industry which ultimately led to her signing with Bellator MMA soon thereafter. In 2012 Felice moved onto Invicta FC where she became their first ever women’s strawweight champion by defeating Lynn Alvarez via unanimous decision at Invicta FC 4: Esparza vs Hyatt event held that same year..
The following year Felice made yet another big transition when she then joined forces with ultimate fighting championship (UFC) making her official debut against Heather Clark at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale tournament held back December 12th 2014 under 135 lbs weight class category where ultimately winning by split decision after three rounds of intense fight action combined strategy tactics delivered throughout each round without any doubt!
