BIOGRAPHY

Jim Miller is a professional mixed martial artist currently signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He has been competing in MMA since 2005 and at 35 years old, is one of the longest-tenured fighters on the UFC roster. In his career, he’s compiled an impressive record of 28 wins and 11 losses across several promotions including Ringside MMA, Bodog Fight, International Cage Fighters, and Bellator.

Miller was born in Sparta Township, New Jersey on January 16th 1985. He started wrestling when he was five years old and by age seven had already won a state championship. Over the course of high school he competed on both varsity teams for football as well as wrestling where he was named captain for both sports during his senior year. After completing high school Jim joined Lock Haven University’s Division I wrestling program but withdrew one semester later due to personal reasons that weren’t publicly disclosed at the time.

Afterward Jim moved back home to Sparta where he trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Roberto Maia at BJJ Revolution Team in Fairfield alongside future UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones who also trained there at that time. He began training with Coach Matt Serra shortly after which led to him making his professional MMA debut in April 2005 against Calvin Kattar whom he defeated via TKO just two minutes into their fight earning him an early victory over an established veteran fighter before even officially entering a promotion such as Ring of Combat or BodogFIGHT where initially most of his fights took place prior to joining Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2008 competing primarily within its lightweight division ever since then with few exceptions here or there like when fought Jorge Masvidal at welterweight during UFC: Fight Night 63 held inside Patriot Center located Fairfax Virginia amongst other fights held outside this divisional category throughout his career as part of promotions like Affliction Entertainment/Auction Combat & EliteXC wherever required with overall success rate varying between these two management organizations despite official statics otherwise being quite similar across all three categories mentioned previously

In 2012 Miller set out what would become a four-fight winning streak through 2013 including victories against Melvin Guillard & Fabricio Camoes respectively before experiencing consecutive defeats against Donald Cerrone & Beneil Dariush which despite ending this run effectively didn’t discourage Jim from continuing fighting ever again following these setbacks although it did significantly slow down pace afterwards only managing another win 2 months later by unanimous decision over Takanori Gomi thus ending 2015 campaign altogether without anymore significant accomplishments afterward either despite having additional 6 matches next year consisting mostly out victorious decisions yet not necessarily resulting any spectacular performances either leading into eventual depature from promotion after concluding last fight during UFC 212 event taking place Rio de Janeiro Brazil against Francisco Trinaldo likely due no longer meeting standards expected from athletes past particular peak level achieved within 4 previous seasons thus officially ending 12+ years long affiliation company itself altogether
