Chase “The Dream”Hooper

Chase Hooper is an American mixed martial artist from Enumclaw, Washington. Born on September 13, 1999, he began training at eight and entered amateur competition shortly after turning 17. Hooper became a professional in 2017 and attracted UFC attention through Dana White’s Contender Series in July 2018, earning a developmental contract after his appearance. He then gained additional regional experience before making his UFC debut against Daniel Teymur on December 14, 2019.

Hooper began his UFC career at featherweight but moved to lightweight in 2023. He has described the higher division as a healthier fit that allows him to carry more muscle and train without the demands of his previous weight cut. As of October 2, 2026, the UFC lists Chase Hooper as an active lightweight. His official profile records his most recent appearance as a submission victory over Mitch Ramirez on July 18, 2026.

Standing 6 feet 1 inch, Hooper is primarily a grappler and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt. His approach emphasizes takedowns, positional control, scrambles and submission attacks, although UFC coverage has also documented the development of his striking and wrestling. He has trained primarily with coach Jeff Hougland while also making trips to work with Stephen Thompson and members of Spokane’s Sikjitsu team. Before reaching the UFC, Hooper held the Combat Games lightweight title and the Dominate FC featherweight title.
