Felipe Colares is a Brazilian mixed martial artist currently competing in the featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He made his debut in 2020 with an impressive unanimous decision win over Domingo Pilarte at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Rozenstruik.
Colares was born on January 5th, 1992, in Manaus, Brazil. Growing up, he had a passion for martial arts and began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai when he was only fifteen years old. After high school, Colares decided to pursue his dream of becoming a professional fighter full-time and moved to Sao Paulo to train with some of the best instructors in Brazil.
In 2016, Colares signed with Titan FC and made his promotional debut against Charles Rosa at Titan FC 42; he won by submission via triangle choke late in round one. Over the next two years, Colares would go on to rack up five wins while competing under the Titan banner; four submissions—including two triangle chokes —and one knockout victory. In 2018, after seven successful fights as part of Titan’s roster, Felipe signed a contract with UFC giving him access to compete on MMA’s biggest stage against its top fighters from around the world.
In May 2020 Felipe made his long-awaited UFC debut against Domingo Pilarte at Fight Night: Overeem vs Rozenstruik and put forth an impressive performance en route to earning himself a unanimous decision victory across all three judges’ scorecards–the first time that has happened since joining The Ultimate Fighter cast back in 2015! He followed this up with another dominant performance over veteran Yair Rodriguez at Fight Island 3 where he managed yet again take home another well-deserved unanimous decision win despite being outmatched statistically across all metrics including significant strikes landed! It seems that no matter who stands opposite Felipe inside octagon walls – they are unable find any success against him!
Moving forward it’s clear that there’s no telling how far this young athlete can go inside MMA’s premier organization but if recent performances have been anything too look off then it looks like it could be quite far indeed! With six consecutive victories under his belt now fans will definitely be keeping their eyes peeled for what comes next from ‘The Crazy Shark” Felipe Colres as he continues climbing towards potential championship gold within UFC ranks
