Gabriel “Moggly”Benitez

Gabriel Benitez is an exciting and powerful UFC Featherweight fighter from Tijuana, Mexico. He has been competing professionally since 2011 and has won numerous professional fights, including a win over former UFC Lightweight champion Nate Diaz in 2018.

Benitez was born on October 2, 1990 in Tijuana, Mexico. He grew up surrounded by mixed martial arts (MMA) culture and began training when he was just 12 years old. His early career was spent fighting in regional promotions such as Combate America and Baja Fighting Championships where he earned a record of 8-2 with seven finishes by knockout or submission before making his official debut at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2017.

In the UFC, Benitez’s performances have been dynamic to say the least. In 2018 he scored one of his most memorable victories; a unanimous decision victory over former lightweight champion Nate Diaz at UFC Fight Night 129 in Chile. This win saw him earn ‘Fight of the Night’ honors along with ‘Performance of The Night’ bonus awards for his efforts inside the octagon that night and it also cemented him as one of Mexico’s premier MMA stars overnight!

Benitez is currently on a three-fight winning streak which includes two impressive first round knockouts against tough opponents such as Humberto Bandenay & Jason Knight respectively and most recently claiming a split decision victory against Yancy Medeiros at UFC 243 back in 2019 which secured him yet another ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus award from Dana White himself!

Outside of fighting, Gabriel enjoys playing video games & spending time with friends & family members whenever possible during his downtime away from fight camps or competitions!
