Mason Alexander Plumlee is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on March 5, 1990 in Warsaw, Indiana and is one of three brothers to have excelled at basketball. Mason’s older brother Miles Plumlee currently plays for Detroit Pistons. His twin brother Marshall played college basketball at Duke University before being drafted 8th overall by Milwaukee Bucks in 2013 and now plays professionally overseas.

Mason attended Christ School in Arden, North Carolina where he broke the single-season dunk record as a senior. During his senior year he had averages of 14 points per game, 11 rebounds per game and 2 blocks per game while leading his team to a state championship title. Before attending Duke University he was ranked as one of top 15 players nationally according to Rivals.com and Scout Hoop Scoop respectively.

At Duke University Mason instantly made an impact during his freshman season averaging 7 points and 6 rebounds per game while helping lead Duke Blue Devils to an ACC Championship title with Tyler Thorburn as co-captain .
