Damion Lee's Biography

Damion Lee is a professional basketball player who currently plays for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on October 21, 1992 in Baltimore, Maryland and attended Calvert Hall College High School. After high school, he spent two years at Drexel University before transferring to Louisville for his final two seasons. At Louisville he averaged 17 points per game as a senior and earned All-ACC honors.

Lee was drafted by the Golden State Warriors with the 37th overall pick in 2016 NBA Draft but was waived shortly after due to an ankle injury that kept him out of Summer League play. He then signed with Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League and went on to become one of their most efficient players while helping them win their first ever championship title in 2017. Throughout his time there, Lee continued to hone his shooting skill set while also improving as a defender and team leader which helped lead them back to another finals appearance during 2018/19 season.

In 2019/20 Damion signed with the G League’s Stockton Kings where he took on an even larger role as a leader both offensively and defensively while averaging nearly 18 points per game off 41% shooting from three point range including winning Player Of The Week honors twice throughout season’s course . Later that year ,Lee made history when he became the first player ever signed directly from G League by signing two way contract with Atlanta Hawks . During 2020/21 season ,he not only proved himself worthy of place in rotation but also established himself key part of franchise future making 35 starts alongside Trae Young & John Collins . His level headed yet aggressive playing style has been highly praised by both fans & coaching staff alike .

Lee continues to show great promise as young player full potential is still left untapped ,who knows what heights will reach considering how far come already?
