Valentina Shevchenko is a world-renowned professional mixed martial artist and the current UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion. She has been involved in combat sports since her childhood, when she began practicing Taekwondo at the age of five. Since then, she has gone on to become an eight-time Muay Thai Champion and two-time World Pro Martial Arts Champion.
Shevchenko was born in Frunze, Kyrgyzstan (now Bishkek) on March 7th 1988. Her parents were both martial arts practitioners who actively encouraged their children to take part in various sports and activities from a young age; this enthusiasm for physical activity ultimately led Valentina to pursue an athletic career as she grew older. At age 18, she moved to Peru with her family where they set up a successful martial arts school – it was at this point that Valentina really started focusing on kickboxing and Muay Thai training as well as furthering her Taekwondo skillset. The gym became so successful over time that it was later transformed into the ‘Valentina Shevchenko Extreme Fight Club’ – cementing its namesake’s legacy forevermore!
By 2012, Shevchenko had already won numerous championships including several World Pro Muay Thai Championships titles and one Gold Medal in the IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Cup Championship held in China that same year; these accomplishments helped pave the way for what was yet to come – soon enough Valentina earned herself a spot within Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). In 2015, upon making her debut against Sarah Kaufman at UFC Battle Night: Werdum vs Browne event; she went on to win via split decision after 3 rounds of intense action! Following this victory Valentina went undefeated through 2017 before signing with UFc once again under their new 125 lbs women’s flyweight division – whereupon winning all 5 consecutive fights throughout 2019/2020 thus becoming undisputed champion of said weight class! This also meant that by September 2020 had also become first ever female simultaneous two weight champion having previously held bantamweight belt too – cementing her name amongst greatest MMA fighters history books forever more!
On top of being such an amazing fighter inside octagon Valentina is strong believer & advocate for modern day feminism & woman empowerment which makes truly inspiring role model many across globe today – no matter sex or gender identity everyone should aspire be like “Bullet” !
