BIOGRAPHY
Ovince Saint Preux is an American mixed martial artist from Knoxville, Tennessee and a former two-time NCAA Division I All-American wrestler. Born on April 8th 1983, he is currently signed to the UFC and competes in their light heavyweight division.
Saint Preux grew up in Miami Florida with his mother while playing football at North Miami Beach High School until he transferred to Immokalee High School where he continued his wrestling career as an all-state Champion. Following high school, Saint Preux attended the University of Tennessee where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and was also a two-time All-American wrestler, winning back to back Conference USA titles during his time there. After graduating college Saint Preux went on to become a professional mixed martial artist debuting with Xtreme Fighting Championships (XFC) in 2009 by earning the XFC Light Heavyweight Championship title, before being signed by Strikeforce later that year.
In 2011 Ovince made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 23: Fight for the Troops 2 defeating Antwain Britt via submission due to punches becoming the first fighter from Tennessee ever signed under contract with The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Since then Ovince has gone on to have an impressive MMA record of 24 wins 12 loses 1 draw across fifteen years competing for organizations such as Bellator MMA, M1 Global and Rizin FF too. He currently holds four Performance of The Night bonuses which are awarded after each fight card by The Ultimate Fighting Championship based off performance inside octagon cage throughout match which highlights individual achievements during bout ultimately resulting in monetary reward bonuses given out throughout year These awards add onto accolades already achieved over past decade including ‘Knockout of The Year’ 2016 award; presented annually following end of combat sports season worldwide across numerous disciplines reflecting exceptional performances within fields ranging boxing/kickboxing matches through MMA bouts alike
