BIOGRAPHY
Tanner Boser is an up-and-coming mixed martial artist from Canada. He currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s heavyweight division and has been fighting professionally since 2013. He has a record of 17 wins and 6 losses, with 13 of his victories coming by way of knockout or submission.
The 27-year old fighter was born on February 7th, 1993 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where he still resides today. He started training in MMA at the age of 16 after stumbling upon it while trying to find a sport that fit his aggressive style and physical size. Tanner has trained all over the world including Thailand, Mexico City as well as camps throughout North America including Tristar Gym in Montreal & Team Alpha Male UFC Hall Of Fame member Urijah Faber’s gym in Sacramento California; which he currently inhabits full time when not fulfilling fight obligations elsewhere around the globe.
Boser made his professional debut only two years after beginning his MMA training at 18-years old with a first round TKO victory over Lucas Neufeld at Armageddon Fighting Championships 5: Uprising 2 on June 22nd 2012. After competing mostly for smaller organizations such as Aggression Fighting Championship (AFC), LFA and King Of The Cage (KOTC) for six years; he finally signed with one of the premier MMA promotions worldwide – The UFC – just last year following an impressive 11 fight win streak going 12-0 before making his promotional debut against Philipe Lins (Lins). Unfortunately three judges controversially scored the bout against Tanner resulting in unanimous decision loss; however this hasn’t deterred him from achieving success inside ‘the octagon’ – proving himself against highly touted veteran rivals like Raphael Pessoa Nunes & Ivanov so far into his stint within ‘Zuffa Land’.
Coming off back to back wins over Vladimir Mokhov & Justin Tafa most recently at UFC Fight Night 175 this past August 2021; it seems that we are yet to see what Tanner is truly capable of within one of sport’s biggest stages now having fully adjusted to its rigours & demands! His next outing will be on April 10th vs Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt Ciryl Gane at UFC 260 – so make sure you tune into watch what promises to be an entertaining battle between these two rising stars!
