Tyson Pedro

Tyson Pedro is a mixed martial artist from Australia. He currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s light heavyweight division, and is known for his aggressive style of fighting.

Pedro began training in martial arts at an early age and had a successful amateur career before turning professional in 2012. After signing with the KOTC promotion, he won four out of his five pro fights by submission or knockout. In 2014, he signed with the UFC and made his debut on their Fight Night card against Igor Pokrajac, winning via first-round submission due to a rear naked choke. The win earned him Submission of the Night honors as well as praise from fans and commentators alike who praised his skillset both standing up and on the ground.

Since then, Pedro has gone 4-3 in the UFC’s 205 lbs division including notable wins over Khalil Rountree Jr., Saparbek Safarov, Paul Craig, and Vinicius Moreira thanks to impressive performances utilizing combinations of punches & kicks along with slick grappling techniques such as pins & submissions (including 3 triangle chokes).
