Marcos “Pezao”Rogerio de Lima

Marcos Rogerio de Lima is an MMA fighter who competes in the UFC’s light heavyweight division. He began his career in 2007, fighting for prominent Brazilian promotions such as Jungle Fight and Shooto Brazil. After amassing a record of 11-2-1, he signed with the UFC in 2014.

Since joining the UFC, Marcos has proven himself to be one of the most exciting fighters on its roster. He holds notable victories over former champion Mauricio Rua, Ovince Saint Preux and Gadzhimurad Antigulov among others. His aggressive style has earned him three ‘Performance of the Night’ awards from the promotion.

In 2020, Marcos challenged Dominick Reyes for the interim title at UFC253 but was defeated by unanimous decision after five rounds of action packed fight . Despite this loss , it was a sign that he belonged amongst elite company considering Reyes is widely regarded as one of best pound for pound fighters on planet earth .

Away from MMA , Marcos is known to be an avid soccer fan – supporting teams such as Flamengo and Atlético Mineiro within his home country Brazil . When not fighting or watching football , you can often find Marcos spending time with his family or hitting up local beaches to enjoy some much needed relaxation time while listening to some tunes !

At 33 years old , Marcos looks set have plenty more success ahead inside octagon having recently joined American Top Team (ATT) – which houses some of world’s best martial artists today – so we can all expect big things come 2021!
