BIOGRAPHY

Ketlen Vieira is a Brazilian mixed martial artist and BJJ specialist who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s division. She is ranked #5 in the UFC Women’s Bantamweight rankings.

Vieira was born on August 5, 1992 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She started training jiu-jitsu at the age of 16 under one of her coaches, Raul Teixeira. After competing for several years she earned her black belt from Teixeira at just 21 years old.

In 2016, Ketlen made her professional MMA debut and quickly began to impress with six consecutive wins over some tough opponents such as Mandy Polk and Sarah Moras amongst others. With each fight victory that she picked up it opened the door for bigger opportunities which eventually led to an invitation from Invicta FC to compete against Sijara Eubanks at Invicta FC 22: Eubanks vs Vieira in March of 2017. Despite being a huge underdog going into this fight due to her lack of experience compared to Eubanks’, she managed to pull off an impressive submission victory via arm bar just two minutes into Round 3 – earning herself both Fight and Performance of Night honors in the process – solidifying herself as a legit prospect within the sport that should not be taken lightly moving forward!

Ketlen’s next challenge would come by way of signing with one of Mixed Martial Art’s premier promotions; The UFC! On July 29th 2017 she made her long awaited UFC debut against Ashlee Evans-Smith at Dana White Contender Series 8 where again, despite being heavily favored against coming out on top; ultimately emerging victorious by unanimous decision from all three judges scoring ringside after 3 hard fought rounds. This win helped springboard her career further as it opened more doors for potential future fights inside The Octagon! Currently sporting an impressive 10-1 record overall thus far within professional MMA competition – Ketlen will look toward continuing adding onto what has already been a successful start to life inside The Octagon when ever chance presents itself later this year or sometime early next year whenever possible during these uncertain times we are living through world wide right now due too COVID 19 pandemic that seemingly has no end date set any time soon unfortunately…

Having grown up fighting judo since childhood before turning pro full time focus towards MMA while also remaining active with nogi grappling tournaments worldwide; Ketlen has become well rounded fighter capable beating both fighters who prefer striking or even those whose strength lies more so on ground based grappling exchanges involving submissions attempts etc.. Her approach typically sees alot success because if something isn’t working well then do opposite instead – which often gives opponent different looks each round forcing them work harder figure out new solutions counter moves they weren’t expecting see coming their way before hand… An attribute surely helps separate apart rest crowd when competing highest levels like very few can manage themselves over long run…

With such bright future ahead young talented Brazilian starlet there no doubt much left yet accomplish still many fights come as continues rise ladder scale stardom here within world ultimate combat sports entertainment industry…. Go get em’ KETLEN!!!
