BIOGRAPHY

Miesha Tate is a former UFC Bantamweight Champion and one of the most recognizable female athletes in the MMA world. She made her professional debut in 2007, and quickly rose to prominence as an exciting fighter with aggressive grappling skills. Her rise culminated with her winning the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Championship in 2011, which she held for two years until it was unified with the UFC title. In 2016, Tate became the first-ever women’s bantamweight champion to hold both championships simultaneously when she defeated Holly Holm at UFC 196.

Throughout her career, Miesha has become known for being an incredibly tough competitor who never gives up and always looks for ways to improve herself. Her biggest victories have come against some of the best female fighters in history including Ronda Rousey, Liz Carmouche and Sara McMann. Despite these wins, she has suffered some hard defeats that have only motivated her more to continue competing and improving on different aspects of MMA such as Muay Thai kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu among others.

Outside of fighting inside the octagon, Miesha continues to inspire people around her through various charity work including founding “Fear The Fighter” which helps young people develop confidence while living healthy lifestyles through fitness challenges and mixed martial arts training programs designed specifically for them; or “Girl Power 2 Cure” which supports those affected by Rhett Syndrome (a rare genetic disorder) by raising money towards research about this condition so families can get access to medical assistance they need faster than ever before possible due its rarity status worldwide. Additionally she’s also been involved with coaching several pro fighters like Marciea Allen & Tonya Evinger during their respective fights on TUF 18 & Invicta 15 respectively; since then they’ve all gone on achieve great success within their respective divisions whether they be amateur or professional circuits all over North America & abroad!

Miesha Tate is a role model not just because of her accomplishments as an athlete but because of how determined she continues to be everyday no matter what life throws at her whether it’s personal issues or injuries that might derail anyone else from going forward – something we can all learn from: never give up!
