Julia Avila is a professional mixed martial artist who competes in the UFC’s bantamweight division. She is known for her aggressive style and never-say-die attitude. Born in California, she began her MMA career competing on local circuits before eventually signing with Invicta Fighting Championships.
Avila made her professional debut in 2012 and quickly established herself as one of the top female fighters in the promotion, winning four fights including two by submission. After five more wins between 2014 and 2016, Avila signed with Invicta FC to compete at 135 pounds (bantamweight). In 2017, she became their inaugural bantamweight champion after defeating Raquel Pa’aluhi via unanimous decision.
In 2018, Avila was signed by the UFC after an impressive 5-1 record outside of Invicta FC and 7 wins straight inside their organization – including 3 KOs/TKOs which earned her “Knockout of The Night” honors twice during that time period. Later that year she made her debut against Cat Zingano at UFC 222 where she won via split decision victory over three rounds – earning Fight Of The Night honors as well as a Performance Of The Night bonus for what was just the beginning of a promising career in the octagon for Julia “Raging Panda” Avila.
Since joining the ranks of world’s most elite fighters, Avilas has become something of a fan favorite due to her warrior spirit – having only gone past two rounds once out of nine fights so far – all but three ending within the first round! She is also known for being humble yet confident when talking about herself or opponents alike which makes it easier for fans to root for someone they can relate too without feeling like they are rooting against another person who may be less fortunate than them or simply lacking confidence – instead seeing it as an opportunity to cheer on someone else trying hard to reach success despite any obstacles thrown their way.
At 33 years old with an 11-2 record overall (including 1 no contest), Julia Avilas skills continue to grow along with her fanbase while setting sights on bigger goals such as a title shot down the line; making it clear that if anyone gets in “The Raging Panda’s” way then they better watch out because this fighter will not waiver easily!
