Palmer’s exceptional performance in this game allowed him to set a single-season record for most receiving yards (1,043) and total receptions (71) by any Nebraska wide receiver.

As the countdown for the 2023 NFL draft kicked off, Palmer’s potential was recognized by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Drafted in the 6th round, he was the Buccaneers’ 191st overall pick, which marked the beginning of his professional football career. His debut game in week one was against the Minnesota Vikings.
