Al-Quadin Muhammad

Al-Quadin Muhammad is an NFL outside linebacker and edge defender for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Born March 28, 1995, in Irvington, New Jersey, he attended Don Bosco Preparatory School before playing college football at the University of Miami. The 6-foot-3, 250-pound defender was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Muhammad began his NFL career with New Orleans before joining the Indianapolis Colts, where he developed into a regular defensive-line contributor. He later played for the Chicago Bears and returned briefly to Indianapolis. After joining the Dallas Cowboys during the 2024 offseason and being released that August, Muhammad signed with the Detroit Lions. His 2025 season marked a major career milestone and earned him NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

On March 12, 2026, the Buccaneers signed Muhammad to a one-year contract. Tampa Bay listed him on its 2026 training-camp roster and identifies him as an outside linebacker. His playing style is built around physical hands, persistent effort and an attacking pass-rush approach, qualities that helped him become a productive rotational edge defender in Detroit. As of September 14, 2026, he is on Tampa Bay’s roster rather than a free agent.
