Logan Daniel Ryan, born February 9, 1991, is a former defensive back of the National Football League (NFL) who showcased an impressive career over 11 seasons. With his early life rooted in Berlin, New Jersey, Ryan’s journey into football started at Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, New Jersey, where he excelled as an all-state selection for both cornerback and quarterback under the Eastern Vikings high school football team.

His talents didn’t go unnoticed, and he was soon rated a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, ranking him as the 32nd cornerback prospect of his class. This prompted an exciting transition into collegiate football where he became a formidable figure on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights football team. A stellar performance throughout his sophomore and junior years earned him second-team and first-team All-Big East Conference selection titles respectively.

Ryan’s incredible exploits didn’t end there, as he was also named a first-team All-American by Pro Football Weekly in 2012. Choosing to forgo his senior year at Rutgers, Ryan declared his intent to join the 2013 NFL Draft. This signified a substantial leap in his career, with many NFL draft experts and scouts predicting him as a third round prospect.

Ryan’s skills were in demand and he was drafted in the third-round (83rd overall) by the New England Patriots in the 2013 NFL Draft. His professional journey continued with the signing of a four-year contract worth $2.77 million including a $563,252 signing bonus. He was named as the fourth cornerback in the Patriots’ depth chart after Alfonzo Dennard, Aqib Talib, and Kyle Arrington.
