A’Shawn Robinson is an accomplished American professional football player who has left a significant mark in American football history. Born on March 21, 1995, Robinson’s football journey began in Arlington Heights High School, Fort Worth, Texas. As well as playing football, Robinson was a member of his school’s varsity basketball and track & field teams. He cultivated his football skills as a two-way lineman for his high school team, the Arlington Heights Yellowjackets, under the tutelage of Coach Todd Whitten. His performance in high school earned him a chance to participate in the prestigious U.S. Army All-American Bowl and found a place on the 2012 USA Today All-American Second team.

Considered a five-star recruit by Rivals.com and ESPN, Robinson was listed as the 4th best defensive tackle in the nation in 2013, marking a step forward in his blossoming career. He initially committed to the University of Texas’s football program, but just prior to National Signing Day in February 2013, he made a change. Alabama became Robinson’s new location, as he ditched Texas and officially put pen to paper for Alabama.

He commenced practice with the Alabama team in August 2013, marking the beginning of his college football career. Robinson played in every game during the 2013 season, making a name for himself by leading his team in sacks. He made significant contributions to his team’s defense and was recognized as a player of the week thrice that season. At the end of his first year in college football, Robinson had bagged several awards, boosting his value.
