BIOGRAPHY

Paul Craig is an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) athlete from Scotland. He currently fights in the light heavyweight division and holds a record of 13 wins, 4 losses, and one no contest.

Craig was born on April 8, 1988 in Bellshill, Scotland. He began martial arts at an early age and trained in Judo for 11 years before transitioning to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu when he was 18 years old. His training shifted to MMA after competing in various grappling tournaments across the United Kingdom throughout his teenage years.

In 2011 he joined Scottish Hit Squad where he continued to train with fellow UFC athletes such as Robert Whiteford and Stevie Ray who are still part of his team today. After several successful amateur bouts Paul made his professional MMA debut on June 28th 2013 during Warrior Fight Series 3 where he defeated Phillip Duffy via rear naked choke submission 2 minutes into the first round of their fight.

Following this victory Craig went on to build up a 9-0 undefeated record that earned him a contract with the UFC which resulted in him making his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 84: Silva vs Bisping back in February 2016 against Chris Dempsey where Craig eventually won by rear naked choke submission just over three minutes into the second round of their fight earning himself ‘Submission Of The Night’ award . Since then Paul has gone on to have five more fights all within the octagon including victories against Magomed Ankalaev , Kennedy Nzechukwu , Vinicius Moreira , Gadzhimurad Antigulov & Ryan Spann as well as two defeats during this timeframe coming against Tyson Pedro & Mauricio “Shogun” Rua respectively allowing him to maintain a respectable 5-2 record inside the cage since joining UFC although having not fought since December 2019 due to personal reasons it remains unclear when Paul will return however should everything go according plan we may see him walking out towards another octagon war sooner rather than later .
