Andre Muniz is a Brazilian mixed martial artist currently competing in the UFC’s middleweight division. He began his MMA career in 2012 and has since racked up numerous accolades, including being crowned the Brave Combat Federation Middleweight Champion, as well as winning nine of his 11 professional fights by submission.

Muniz was born on April 28th, 1988 in Salvador, Bahia and grew up playing soccer from a young age. Although he found success early on with the sport, he knew deep down that he wanted to pursue an even bigger dream – one day becoming an MMA fighter. After years of dedication to training and honing his skills at numerous gyms across Brazil, Muniz turned pro in 2012 at just 24 years old.

In 2013 Muniz made it to regional promotions such as Jungle Fight before signing with Brave Combat Federation (BCF) in 2016 where he promptly captured their middleweight title. During this time period Muniz would go onto win five straight fights under BCF while establishing himself as one of the best grapplers around – nine out of eleven wins were via submission!

Muniz’s impressive run caught the eye of many MMA fans from around the world who had been following his progress over recent years – ultimately leading him to sign with UFC late 2018 after spending two years away from competition due to injury/illness-related issues. Since then ‘Netto BJJ’ has won two out three bouts including an impressive first-round rear naked choke victory over Bartosz Fabinski back at UFC Fight Night 161 last October – making him one of most promising prospects within 185lb division today!

In between fighting camps Andre can be found teaching grappling classes alongside teammates at Nova Uniao gym in Rio De Janeiro where they routinely prepare for upcoming bouts together against some toughest competition imaginable… From here on out nothing will stop ‘Netto BJJ’from continuing make waves within UFC ranks: A future championship belt may be next if all goes according plan!
