BIOGRAPHY
Pat Sabatini is an American mixed martial arts fighter currently signed to the UFC in the Featherweight division. He started his MMA career in 2011, after competing for several years on the amateur circuit. In 2013 he made his professional debut at Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) and has competed with various promotions, including Bellator MMA and Titan FC.
Sabatini is known for his aggressive style of fighting, always looking to finish fights quickly with a knockout or submission victory. His strong stand-up game allows him to move forward while avoiding strikes from opponents in close range, giving him an advantage over some of his lighter weight opponents that rely on their speed and agility alone. He has a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu which gives him an edge when it comes to grappling exchanges against top tier competition.
In addition to being highly active inside the cage, Sabatini also dedicates much of his time outside of training preparing for upcoming fights by studying tape and formulating strategies that will give him an edge against any given opponent he may face next. This attention to detail can be seen in many aspects of his fights as he often takes calculated risks during exchanges depending on what he thinks will work best against any given opponent’s skill set or capabilities — something that has led many judges and fans alike rating him very highly among today’s featherweight fighters both inside and outside of the UFC promotion itself.
Sabatini currently holds a 7–3 record overall since turning pro back in 2013, though most recently lost via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs Lewis 2 this past March 2021 which marked only his second outing under Zuffa ownership thus far as part of their promotion’s Featherweight division roster — where it was expected Sabatini would join one day ever since making waves across other regional circuits prior throughout Pennsylvania & New Jersey regions especially prior even signing with them directly ultimately last year following victories there leading up into 2020 already then amongst others elsewhere too finally earning himself such notoriety deservedly so accordingly thereafter due overwhelming success earned by then already on multiple fronts within other organizations out there beforehand indeed indeed as well all told breaking through sooner than later eventually too no less!
