Jonathan “JSP”Pearce

Jonathan Pearce is one of the most recognizable names in the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). He has been a professional fighter since 2009, and has become one of the most successful lightweights to compete in the UFC.

Pearce was born in London, England and first started his MMA career with Combat Sports Academy at age 16. After spending two years there he moved onto Keddles Gym where he trained under Jimi Manuwa for five years. It was during this time that Pearce won numerous amateur competitions before finally turning professional in 2009.

Since then, Pearce has gone on to amass an impressive win/loss record as a pro MMA fighter. He competed successfully against some of Europe’s best fighters before signing with UFC in 2016 when he won his debut fight against David Teymur via unanimous decision at The Ultimate Fighter Finale 22 event.
He went on to have four more fights within the organisation ending his stint with a record of 3-2-1 including victories over Tim Means, Charles Oliveira and Alan Patrick Silva Alves as well as a draw against Joe Lauzon which earned him Fight Of The Night honours at UFC 205: Alvarez vs McGregor event held at Madison Square Garden Arena in New York City.

Outside of fighting, Pearce is also an active member within his community and serves as ambassador for various charities such as Human Rights Watch UK & MSF – Doctors Without Borders which are close to his heart due to having family members affected by both causes. In 2015 he became patron for Sport Relief after raising money through sparring sessions conducted amongst other athletes like Lennox Lewis & Danny Williams who were fellow patrons too during that year’s charity drive campaign alongside Hollywood actor Idris Elba who hosted the televised show finale involving all participating celebrities involved throughout its duration..
