Christian Rodriguez is a mixed martial artist and current UFC fighter. Originally from Mexico City, he began his career in 2017 with the amateur scene before making his professional debut in 2019. Since then, Rodriguez has gone on to become one of the most talked-about fighters in MMA today.
Rodriguez’s fighting style is heavily focused on creating openings through quick combinations of punches, kicks and submissions. His combination of speed and power have made him a fan favorite, as he often remains calm under pressure while landing devastating strikes that can finish off opponents quickly. He is known for having excellent conditioning which allows him to dominate rounds late into fights if needed.
Rodriguez grew up in an area where combat sports were popular among kids at school and it was only natural for him to gravitate towards them when he got interested in athletics at an early age. He started training Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu when he was 15 years old after being inspired by watching some of Royce Gracie’s matches online and eventually transitioned into kickboxing shortly after that. After amassing an impressive record as an amateur fighter (20-3), Rodriguez decided to turn professional when offered a chance by Combate Americas LLC., making his debut against Diego Romero at Combate Estrellas II: La Noche De Las Estrellas event held in Cancun back in October 2019 – winning via unanimous decision after three rounds of action despite suffering an injury during training camp leading up to the fight.
In 2020, Christian signed with the UFC following two consecutive victories over Manny Vasquez last February followed by another win over Adrian Yanez four months later at Combate 30: Yanez vs Rodriguez card which took place inside Auditorio Benito Juarez located in Guerrero, Mexico – both bouts ending via technical knockout within two minutes of first round because Rodriguez had gained momentum with those wins; something which led Dana White offering contract just few days later during promotion’s show for July 4th weekend festivities being held throughout USA & Canada . So far since joining roster , Mexican native has already fought four times inside Octagon alongside such stars as Randy Brown , Alexey Kunchenko , Belal Muhammad & James Krause .
