Khamzat Chimaev is an up-and-coming fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Born in Chechnya on July 7, 1993, he moved to Sweden at a young age and began training in mixed martial arts (MMA) when he was 16. He made his professional MMA debut in 2016 and started competing internationally by 2018.

Chimaev has achieved a 10-0 record so far with nine of those wins via stoppage. He stands out for his aggressive fighting style that leaves opponents unable to defend themselves for long stretches of time. His punches are lightning fast and often leave opponents dazed and confused — allowing him to follow up with takedowns or submission attempts as soon as possible.

In 2020, Chimaev signed with UFC after dominating international fights across Europe, Middle East and Asia under Brave CF organization — where he became the welterweight champion within just four months since joining them. On July 15th 2020, Chimaev made his highly anticipated UFC debut against John Phillips at UFC Fight Night 173 which resulted into a second round TKO victory after attacking relentlessly from bell to bell while leaving Phillips feeling overwhelmed throughout the fight. After this impressive performance Khamzat earned himself ‘Performance of The Night’ bonus award alongwith an extensive media attention which eventually led him signing two more bouts for coming in weeks – first one against Rhys McKee at Fight Island 4 held on July 25th where Khamzat clearly dominated from beginning till end resulting into another spectacular TKO victory giving him his 11th win overall; Second one came slated after almost three weeks later when Khamzat faced off against Gerald Meerschaert at UFC Vegas 11 which also resulted into another overwhelming TKO victory taking only 17 seconds during first round earning himself third consecutive ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus awards alongwith praise from all over fans & pundits alike leading him becoming overnight sensation among MMA followers worldwide.
