Matt Schnell is an American Mixed Martial Artist who has established himself as one of the most promising fighters in the UFC. He currently fights for the flyweight division and has become a fan favorite due to his aggressive style of fighting.
Schnell was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and began wrestling at a young age. He eventually went on to compete in high school, where he won two state championships. After graduating from high school, Schnell continued his career by joining Team Takedown, which led him to compete in amateur MMA tournaments throughout Louisiana before turning professional in 2012.
In 2014, Matt made his Bellator debut at Bellator 127 against Cortez Coleman and won via unanimous decision to kick off his professional record with a win after five hard fought rounds.
