Rob Font is a professional mixed martial artist and current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight. He was born in Somerville, Massachusetts on April 7, 1987 and began his martial arts training at the age of 17 when he joined his older brother’s Muay Thai kickboxing program at Sityodtong Boston. His brother was a world champion kickboxer and had trained with legendary fighters like Kaoklai Kaennorsing.

Font wrestled extensively during high school where he placed second twice in the state tournament before attending Bridgewater State University on an athletic scholarship for wrestling. He continued to train under Muay Thai coach Tom “The Phenom” Watson while studying psychology at college but later left to pursue a full-time MMA career after being scouted by UFC matchmaker Joe Silva following some impressive wins as an amateur fighter.

After joining the UFC roster in 2012, Font made his debut against George Roop at UFC Fight Night 25 that same year which earned him his first win via split decision victory over three rounds of fighting. Following this victory, Font went on to record eight more victories including notable wins against Michael McDonald and Thomas Almeida before suffering his first defeat against John Lineker at UFC 198 in 2016.

Since then, Font has gone on to cement himself amongst the upper echelon of bantamweights competing inside the octagon due largely to impressive performances resulting in spectacular knockouts over Douglas Silva de Andrade and John Moraga respectively among others alongside four more decisions within the distance across days shows such as The Ultimate Fighter: Team Jones vs Team Sonnen Finale (2013), Fight Night 80 (2015) & UFC Fight Night 112 (2017). With 12 wins total across 14 career fights under contract with both WEC & Ultimate Fighting Championship-all involving finishes either by knockout or submission- it’s fair to say Rob Font is one of bantamweight divisions most experienced athletes who has achieved success while continuing climb up ranks towards potential title shot sometime within near future..
