Tanner McKee

Born on April 27th, 2000, Tanner Jeremie McKee is a professional player in the National Football League (NFL) who has proven his mettle on the football field time and time again. Hailing from the United States, McKee is currently a quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, a position that enables him to regularly demonstrate his prowess.

Early Life and Education:

McKee spent his formative years in Corona, California, where he attended Centennial High School. Here, he kicked off his football journey which would see him make his mark on the local, national, and eventually, professional scenes. His talents were so evident that he was eventually picked to play in the prestigious 2018 U.S. Army All-American Bowl and the 2018 Polynesian Bowl. In these competitions, he put on a stellar performance and was ultimately crowned Most Valuable Player (MVP) in both.

College football beckoned, and McKee decided to commit to Stanford University. It was here that the seeds for his professional career were sown. Before moving on to the Stanford field, however, McKee spent two significant years on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This experience proved formative for him, shaping his outlook on life and fostering within him a renewed commitment to his sporting passion.

Football Career at Stanford:

Upon returning to Stanford University, McKee rose up the ranks and played his inaugural season with the team in 2020. He played in a single game that year, where his performance was nothing short of sterling. He valiantly completed three passes for 62 yards against the highly competitive 12th-ranked Oregon Ducks.

The following year, 2021, saw McKee compete with Jack West for the starting job. Despite West initially stepping up as the starter during the first game against the Kansas State Wildcats, McKee was far from being side-lined. He attempted 18 passes, successfully completing 15 of them for a total of 118 yards, coupled with a remarkable touchdown. This performance had him named the starter for the coming week’s game against the USC Trojans.

In a thrilling display for merely his 4th collegiate start, McKee led the Cardinal to a heart-stopping upset victory against the #3 ranked Oregon Ducks. Highlighting his knack for leadership and strategic gameplay, he threw three touchdowns and summited a groundbreaking 87-yard game-tying drive at the end of the 4th quarter.

NFL Draft and Career:

Based on his string of successful college performances, McKee was ultimately chosen as a 6th round draft for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2023 NFL Draft, where he was picked 188th overall. Today, McKee continues to build upon his passion and talent, consistently demonstrating his ability as a top-tier professional football quarterback.
