Kyle Van Noy

Kyle Van Noy is an NFL outside linebacker born on March 26, 1991, in Reno, Nevada. He played college football at Brigham Young University, where he became a two-time All-American and a versatile defensive playmaker. BYU lists him at 6 feet 3 inches and credits him with strong production as a pass rusher, run defender and turnover creator. He graduated from BYU with a history degree before entering the NFL.

The Detroit Lions selected Van Noy in the second round, 40th overall, of the 2014 NFL Draft. He later played for the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens, winning Super Bowls with New England and earning Pro Bowl recognition during his career. On September 2, 2026, the Minnesota Vikings signed Van Noy to their practice squad; the Vikings subsequently elevated him for their 2026 season opener. His playing style combines positional versatility, pursuit speed and pass-rush instincts, making him useful both as an edge defender and as a linebacker who can move around the formation.
