Cornell Armstrong's Biography

Cornell Orlando Armstrong, one of the notable cornerbacks in American professional football, was born on September 22, 1995. This talented young man’s story, which winds through various ups and downs in the National Football League, begins in Southern Mississippi where he received his education and discovered his passion for football.

Born and bred in Mississippi, Armstrong attended the Bassfield High School in the small town of Bassfield. It was here that he first developed his love and understanding of football. By playing at various school football championships, he learned about the camaraderie, competition, and discipline that would later propel him to stardom in the professional leagues.

Upon completion of his high school education, Armstrong extended his interest by enrolling in Southern Miss where he honed his skills as a footballer. Despite being placed on injured reserve in August 2022, Armstrong was back in play by October that year. He signed yet another contract extension with the Atlanta Falcons in March 2023 before suffering another injury.

After his recovery, Armstrong was signed to the Las Vegas Raiders practice squad in October 2023, marking a new chapter in his professional career. Despite being waived in August 2024, there was no doubt he had made a notable impression in the landscape of American professional football.
