Jakorian Bennett is an outstanding American professional Cornerback, born on August 23, 2000, who currently renders his professional services in the world of football to the Las Vegas Raiders, a team under the prestigious umbrella of the National Football League (NFL). His football journey has been packed with commendable achievements and milestones, tracing back to his college football days at Hutchinson and Maryland.

Bennett’s early years were spent in Mobile, Alabama, where he attended McGill-Toolen Catholic High School. It was here that his footballing skills began to shine, as he was actively part of the school’s football team, playing a significant role as a cornerback. He made a strong impression during these youthful years of sport, earning himself the status of a three-star recruit.

After his successful high school stint, Bennett took his sporting prowess to Hutchinson Community College, where he invested another two seasons honing his skills on the football field. His performances were nothing short of remarkable, recording 25 tackles, three interceptions, and three tackles for loss. An unfortunate injury compelled him to miss out on one match – the Ohio State game – in the 2021 season. Despite this setback, Bennett shone in the remaining matches, leading all players in the power five with 16 pass break ups – a record-breaking figure since Domonique Foxworth. Alongside this, he also led his team in interceptions with three and recorded 24 tackles (23 solo).

The 2022 season opener was another memorable match for Bennett, where he had five pass breakups against Buffalo, again setting a new record since Tino Ellis. By the end of the season, Bennett had created a remarkable record of 27 pass breakups, the highest national tally, along with one blocked field goal and one sack.

After an illustrious college career, Bennett decided to make the leap to professional sports. On December 5, 2022, he declared his intention to enter the 2023 NFL draft. NFL analysts projected him as a promising option for the 4th round pick. His potential was indeed recognized by the Las Vegas Raiders who made him the 104th pick in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL draft.

During his debut season in the NFL in 2023, Bennett left his mark by appearing in 14 games and getting the opportunity to start as a rookie in four of these games. He finished the season with an impressive statistic of 32 total tackles, 24 of which were solo, along with three passes defended.
