Amik Robertson

Amik Robertson is an American football cornerback for the Washington Commanders. As of September 20, 2026, he is listed on the Commanders’ active roster as No. 2. Robertson is 5 feet 9 inches tall and was born on July 6, 1998, in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He played collegiately at Louisiana Tech after attending Thibodaux High School.

At Louisiana Tech, Robertson established himself as a versatile and highly competitive defensive back. His college honors included FWAA First Team All-American recognition in 2019, First Team All-Conference USA selections in 2018 and 2019, and the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s Defensive Player of the Year award in 2019. His style was characterized by instincts, physicality, toughness and competitiveness, qualities that helped him project as both an outside cornerback and a possible nickel defender.

The Las Vegas Raiders selected Robertson in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the 139th overall pick. He spent his first four NFL seasons with Las Vegas before joining the Detroit Lions during the 2024 offseason. On March 12, 2026, the Washington Commanders announced that they had signed Robertson; the team’s announcement said the contract terms were not disclosed, while NFL reporting listed the agreement as a two-year contract. The Commanders’ current roster confirms his Washington affiliation on September 20, 2026.
