BIOGRAPHY
Tre Tucker is an American football running back for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on June 15, 1998 in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended North Cobb High School and then transferred to Brookwood high school where he graduated in 2017.
Tucker initially committed to play college football at Kentucky but later decommitted and chose to attend Indiana University. During his time as a Hoosier, Tucker played three seasons and amassed 1,557 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns throughout his career while playing for head coach Tom Allen.
During his Junior season with IU (2019), Tucker posted a career-high 863 yards on 175 attempts along with seven touchdowns which earned him third-team All Big Ten honors from both coaches and media alike. After declaring early following that season, he was selected by the Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft as pick 139th overall.
After being drafted by Arizona, Tre immediately impressed during training camp with his explosiveness out of the backfield which earned him immediate playing time when the regular season started – something very few rookies manage to do these days given teams’ strong focus on veterans over rookies due to their lack of experience at this level compared to those who have been playing professionally for several years already.
In week 5 against Seattle Seahawks on October 24th 2021, Tre had one of his best performances so far after carrying 10 times for 74 yards including a 33 yard run – showing off once again why Coach Kliff Kingsbury has been so excited about giving him more opportunities even though there are veteran players ahead of him such as Kenyan Drake or Chase Edmonds who take most carries away from him whenever they’re healthy enought o play without any issue whatsoever.
Although it is too soon to judge whether or not this rookie can turn into what many expect out of a fourth round selection – namely becoming a long term starter in one way or another – , it is safe say that right now we can be excited about what Tre has brought onto our beloved team since arrival; The potential looks promising!
