Brett Rypien

Brett Rypien is an American football quarterback from Spokane, Washington, born July 9, 1996. He stands 6 feet 2 inches tall and played collegiately at Boise State, where he became one of the Mountain West’s most accomplished passers. Rypien was named Mountain West Freshman of the Year in 2015 and Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year in 2018. He also earned three first-team All-Mountain West selections and was invited to the 2019 East-West Shrine Game.

Rypien entered the NFL in 2019 as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos. His professional path has included regular-season and practice-squad affiliations with Denver, the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts. Minnesota signed him in August 2024, and he later returned to the Vikings through a 2025 waiver claim before becoming an unrestricted free agent in March 2026.
