Alex Bachman's Biography

Born on May 29, 1996, Alex Bachman carved his place in the field of American professional football, where he currently performs as a wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). His early footing in the game secured during his college years at Wake Forest, where he was a staunch member of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons for four seasons. Displaying promising talent, he secured 37 catches for 541 yards and six touchdowns during his senior year. By the end of his collegiate career, his track record boasted 82 receptions for 1,162 yards and ten touchdowns across 32 games.

Bachman’s professional journey in football commenced on April 29, 2019, when he was signed on by the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent. However, his tenure there was short-lived due to injuries leading to him being waived. He was then added to the injured reserve list the very next day. The setback was temporary, and Bachman was eventually waived by the Rams with an injury settlement on September 5, 2019.

Bachman’s career took a fortunate turn on November 12, 2019, when he was signed to the New York Giants practice squad. His continued dedication earned him a reserve/futures contract with the team on December 30, 2019. However, the following year saw him being waived during the final roster cuts on September 5, 2020, only to be signed back to the practice squad the next day. A series of transitions led Bachman from being released on September 15, 2020, to rejoining the practice squad on October 5, 2020. His long-awaited NFL debut materialized on October 22 in a neck-to-neck 22–21 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The following year, Bachman received a reserve/future contract on January 4, 2021. His time with the Giants was marked by continued injuries, leading to his placement on the injured list on August 31, 2021, and a consequent release. A twist of fate saw him returning to the practice squad on November 3, 2021. Following this, Bachman was activated from the practice squad as a COVID-19 replacement for a critical game against the Dallas Cowboys on December 18, 2021. His performance led him to secure another reserve/future contract with the Giants on January 11, 2022.

Eventually, on August 30, 2022, Bachman was waived by the Giants. His career journey took him next to the Houston Texans, where he signed with the practice squad on November 15, 2022. His performance led to him earning a reserve/future contract on January 10, 2023. Following a short break, Bachman returned again to the practice squad on November 8. A promising start to 2024 saw him sign another reserve/future contract on January 22, only to be waived on April 9.

Thereafter, Bachman’s journey led him to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders on May 22, 2024, affirming his unyielding position in professional football even while facing multiple obstacles and wavering circumstances. He was waived again on August 27, but his resilient spirit found him re-signed to the practice squad in time, marking another significant chapter in his football career.
