BIOGRAPHY

Tim Elliott is an American professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the flyweight division of the UFC. Prior to joining the UFC, Elliott competed for promotions such as Resurrection Fighting Alliance and Tachi Palace Fights. He is also a former RFA Flyweight Champion.

Elliott was born on April 10, 1988 in Parkville, Missouri and grew up with two brothers in Kansas City. Growing up he was involved in various sports from football to basketball and wrestling where one of his biggest accomplishments came when he won state championships during his senior year of high school. Elliott then moved onto college where he attended Ottawa University on a wrestling scholarship but left after becoming disinterested due to academic issues that arose while attending school.

After leaving college Tim decided to pursue MMA full time so he moved down to Florida where he eventually joined American Top Team (ATT). During this time period Elliot began competing professionally and quickly rose through the ranks becoming an RFA champion within two years of training at ATT alongside some well-known elite fighters such as Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Thiago Alves and Henry Cejudo . His earned him his spot within the UFC roster after signing with them officially in 2015 which marked his beginning with world’s largest promotion stage for MMA fighters today.

During his stint within the UFC Tim has had multiple fights against some notable names such as Ben Nguyen whom which resulted into being awarded “Fight of The Night” honors by Dana White president himself following their matchup back at March 2016 event held by Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). In addition, other opponents have included Joseph Benavidez who was ranked #2 flyweight fighter at that time or Jussier Formiga whom which later became a title contender within organization today too going on showdowns against Demetrious Johnson former undisputed 125lb champ just recently 2018 . From those experience gained inside octagon arena & outside it , Timothy has been able gain notoriety among fans globally as well as strong respect from colleagues across planet – something many people strive yet rarely reach its peak successfully like him .

Outside fighting career , Elliot often engages himself into humanitarian works such fundraising for charities & making appearances at local schools endorsing physical activities namely youth ones .
